EnkalonRider Of The Year - 2007 Publicity Launch Photo

The choice is entirely in the hands of the racing public and the competition this year will be tough.with many riders having put in brilliant performances. The two outstanding performers have been Toomebridge ace Michael Laverty and Larne's Jonathan Rea, with Laverty winning the Supersport title on the British tracks and Rea in sparkling form in the BSB championship. Michael's younger brother Eugene has had a tough rookie season in the 250cc Moto GP class but he has been scoring points racing at the very highest level in bike racing. At home, former Enkalon winner Robert Dunlop has continued to win on the 125s and building on the Dunlop legend with his sons William and Michael. The youngsters have been consistent winners and are becoming the stalwarts of the roads scene. Ryan Farquhar also finished the season on a high with wins at Faugheen, the Mid Antrim and the Ulster Grand Prix.

On the dirt Wayne Garrett has been in fine form at home, dominating the Ulster and Irish scene with Martin Barr flying the flag in the British series.
